Advancing Sustainable Energy Across Africa & the Caribbean
The African & Caribbean Energy Network is dedicated to fostering collaboration, research, and innovation to transform the energy landscape of African and Caribbean communities.
Our mission is to end energy poverty for one million people by 2035, accelerate the adoption of clean energy, and empower local economies through responsible energy practices.
By engaging stakeholders, policymakers, and innovators, we champion inclusive, transparent, and ethical energy solutions that promote prosperity, opportunity, and sustainable development for all.

The African & Caribbean Energy Network is dedicated to accelerating progress on SDG 7 by championing clean energy investments, facilitating technology upgrades, and supporting policies tailored to the region’s diverse needs and aspirations.
Expanding sustainable energy access empowers communities, strengthens local economies, and helps protect the environment.
Goal 7 ensures universal access to affordable, reliable, and clean energy—a critical foundation for progress in agriculture, business, communications, education, healthcare, and transportation. While global energy access continues to advance—rising from 87% in 2015 to 92% in 2023—progress remains too slow to achieve universal electrification by 2030. At the current pace, over 660 million people could still lack electricity, and nearly 2 billion may rely on polluting fuels and technologies for cooking by the end of this decade.
Vision
Our vision is to create a thriving energy ecosystem in Africa and the Caribbean where sustainable practices, innovation, and collaboration drive economic growth, energy sovereignty, and environmental stewardship.
Mission
Our mission is to connect, empower, and support energy stakeholders in Africa and the Caribbean, promoting knowledge sharing, best practices, and collective action to achieve affordable, clean, and sustainable energy for all. We operate within the five pillars of sustainability: People, Planet, Peace, Prosperity, and Partnership. Under these pillars, we will thrives to lift 1 Million people out of energy poverty by 2035
